Infant Feeding Therapy
All of our providers are experienced infant feeding therapists and carry lactation certifications. Infant feeding therapy can be for breastfed and bottle-fed babies. In conjunction with infant feeding therapy, Functional Foundations utilizes TummyTime! Method and craniosacral techniques and stretches, and craniosacral-fascial therapy.
Pediatric Feeding Therapy
Meghan, Hannah, and Courtney have each completed advanced pediatric feeding courses to provide specialized feeding therapy for infants and young children. All providers are also trained in assessing and supporting tethered oral tissues and oral motor function.
We’re often asked if we offer myofunctional therapy for toddlers. Our Pediatric Feeding Therapy services are designed for children ages 6 months to 4 years, which is the foundation before we transition into strictly myofunctional therapy. Before age 4, our focus is on a sensory-based oral motor approach to support safe, functional, and positive feeding experiences.
Myofunctional Therapy
Orofacial myofunctional therapy includes therapeutic exercises/therapy to strengthen and habilitate facial and tongue muscles for optimal function. Goals include improving: nasal breathing, resting tongue posture, lip seal, optimal chewing and swallowing patterns.
For optimal results, we often work closely with an interdisciplinary team: ENT’s, Orthodontists, Dentists, Oral Surgeons, Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, Craniosacral therapists and other professionals

Craniosacral & Craniosacral Fascial Thearpy
Alison is trained in CST & Fascia Release Techniques. Meghan is trained in CST & Fascia Release Techniques and CFT.
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tension and supports balance in the body. Using light touch and fascial release techniques, CST helps babies experiencing challenges such as oral ties, reflux, torticollis, and feeding difficulties feel more comfortable in their bodies. By promoting relaxation and freedom of movement, CST can support better feeding, sleep, and overall well-being — helping babies (and parents) feel more at ease.
Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) blends the two established modalities of Dr. William Sutherland's Cranial Sacral Therapy and John Barnes' Myofascial Release, along with dental techniques developed from Dr. Gillespie’s experience as a periodontist. CFT techniques are designed to gently unwind and release accumulated fascial strain. This allows optimal mobility and better brain function. When the Craniosacral Fascial System is loose and open there is free flow of cerebrospinal fluid to help nourish and cleanse toxins.
